Le Caboteur des Îles is developing a modal shift solution between the mainland and the islands of Quiberon Bay (France), combining a sailing-cargo with optimized land-based logistics. By using a new road route that avoids fragile coastal areas and implementing a freight consolidation solution, we are limiting the number of vehicles traveling in coastal areas.

This comprehensive approach, including low-carbon maritime transport and optimized pre- and post-transportation of goods, significantly reduces the nuisances associated with freight transport (at least a 50% reduction in impacts) and addresses future coastal risks. After a pilot project in October 2024 with the Grain de Sail first vessel, we are working on implementing a regular service.
